Every Proper Strong product carries a safety label. Please read it before use. This page explains what the labels mean and lists the safety information for each scent.
General safety
- Never leave burning candles or lit burners unattended.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Use on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from anything that can catch fire.
- Don’t move candles or burners while the wax is liquid.
- Keep wax melts in their packaging until use. They are not food, however delicious they smell.
What the CLP labels mean
Fragrances can contain natural and synthetic ingredients that may cause an allergic reaction in some people. By law (the CLP Regulation), scented products that contain these ingredients above certain levels carry a warning label with the hazard statements, the allergens they contain, and our contact details.
A common example is: “May cause an allergic skin reaction. Harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.” If you have allergies, check the ingredients for your scent below before buying.
